The combination of Dijon mustard and lemon juice provides a tangy and flavourful dressing for your coleslaw.
Ingredients
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey or granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon celery seeds (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, honey (or sugar), and celery seeds (if using) until well combined.
Taste the dressing and adjust the sweetness or tanginess by adding more honey/sugar or lemon juice, as desired.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Whisk the dressing until it's smooth and all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Pour the dressing over your prepared coleslaw vegetables (shredded cabbage, carrots, etc.) and toss to coat evenly.
Let the coleslaw sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld and the vegetables to soften slightly in the dressing.
Give it a final toss before serving, and adjust the seasoning if needed.
